One of those motivational quotes that shows up sporadically and somehow has a different meaning each time I am reminded of it. While it can be applied to so many goals in life, I have been really focused this last year on how to best help others build personal financial stability and generational wealth through real estate, and this really hit home within this arena.  

America is the most amazing country in the world, and the great state of Tennessee is known for their support of small businesses, low taxation, no income tax, and affordable cost of living. This combination creates an oversized welcome door to a pathway of financial security should you choose it. The big question, “How do I get there from here?” is the imaginary, fear-based barrier that keeps most people from embarking on this path.  

Building financial stability and personal wealth is rarely done on accident. It is a decision to do what others will not do so that you can live how others do not get to. This has to be a conscious decision to take control of your current finances, so they are managed in a way that you work towards financial freedom. As a Concierge Real Estate Broker, I have wonderful referrals for people who specialize in this and wont charge thousands of dollars to help you right where you are in your real, everyday life. This must be the first step because if we can't manage what we have, how can God give us more?  I will also say that we took this step ourselves and have thrived ever since! When I started my journey, I was making $11 an hour and working 37 hours a week so no excuses, anyone can start on this path right from where you are! It doesn't matter if you are 18 years old with a part-time job or 65 years old and a long-time career, there is always a pathway to financial independence. It surprisingly didn't take as long as we thought it would, and I wish I had done it years earlier. Once we made the decision that this was the path we would take to help bring us to the goal of financial independence, we committed to doing what it takes. The decision and commitment had been made.  

Wise council is key. In a world of AI, Google, and commercial overload via reels and television, the one constant that doesn't go away is wise, human, council. A real person who has dedicated their education, career, ministry to learning and sharing what they know with others trumps the media and internet noise every time. When we began our journey, we started with wise council on how to manage and protect our personal finances from a biblical perspective. Funny how education works, those principles naturally flowed into how we manage investments and now our business. It is crucial that you are teachable and seek wise council from those who are already successful in managing their personal finances and building wealth to set you on a path to YOUR goals and YOUR definition of success.  

While we are strong believers in diversification and have several trusted resources to share with our community, our research, education and experience in Real Estate is how we serve others. The number of myths that surround investing or buying a home (or commercial building) is mind blowing. You simply don't know, what you don't know! If I had a dollar for every client who started out thinking they could never buy a house or qualify for a loan, I could buy a new Lamborghini.  Similarly, we have seen people invest in a rental cabin, a commercial building or a long-term rental who never thought they could do such a thing! Yet, through evaluation, loan experts and investment projections they have been successful!
